Every season is a time of change, and the fall has seen some significant changes here at BitBakery.
In September, we moved into our new space at the Communitech Hub in the Tannery building in Downtown Kitchener’s innovation district. As our team continued to evolve, we realized we needed a more flexible space for team and client meetings—and the Hub provides that and more.
We’re surrounded by innovators and entrepreneurs from Communitech and the University of Waterloo’s Velocity Incubator. As many of you know, I was a mentor and Associate Director at Velocity, and it’s exciting to be next to that energy again.
Another change is a more subtle one but something we’ve been thinking about for a while now. If you’ve stopped by our homepage lately, you might have noticed that our tagline is now “Trusted software design and development.”
It’s a small change that represents a large part of the work we’ve been doing for years—website and mobile application design. It’s a core part of our service that we write about on the blog but wasn’t reflected in how we brand ourselves.
The inspiration for the change came from a major website project we’re in the middle of right now. We’ll have a case study on it coming up soon, too.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the interest in generative AI. We’ve got three new blog posts from the last two months on what we’ve learned and how we’re applying that in our day-to-day work.

Software giant OpenText made a number of new AI announcements at its annual conference in October. We got an early preview thanks to the Communitech breakfast series with special guest Tom Jenkins.
